On March 22, Mr. Li Hua, President of China Packaging Federation visited SIG' s global headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and met with Mr. Sigrist Samuel, CEO, SIG Global. They had an in-depth discussion on the current situation and trend of the packaging industry in China and Europe.

   Mr. Han Xueshan, Vice President and Executive Secretary General of China Packaging Federation, Mr. Fan Lidong, Chairman of SIG Group China, Mr. Du Junhai, Chairman of the Board of China National Packaging Co., Ltd, and other enterprises attended the meeting.

                   
   In Mr. Sigrist Samuel' s welcome speech, he said that as an enterprise with a long history of 170 years, SIG has always been deeply engaged in the field of packaging and has been a leader in the industry. SIG has always been optimistic about the development potential and prospects of the Chinese market, and look forward to more in-depth cooperation with China Packaging Federation.

   As an example of localization of foreign enterprises in China, SIG has made outstanding achievements in the areas of strategic layout, packaging solutions, technological innovation and optimized value system. Mr. Fan Lidong shared how he led the development of the industry and looked forward to making further achievements under the huge market capacity in China.

   Mr. Li Hua said that in recent years, the vitality and resilience of China' s economy have continued to bring more opportunities and benefits to foreign enterprises. At the same time, foreign-funded packaging enterprises continue to be optimistic about China' s development prospects, build advanced industrial chains and upgrade innovation chains, and resonate with China' s high-quality development. China' s packaging industry needs to learn from excellent foreign-funded packaging companies like SIG.

   Mr. Li Hua stressed that the general trend of economic globalization is irreversible. China is also continuously reducing the negative list of foreign investment access, holding the China International Import Expo, unilateral visa opening policy, further strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights. China Packaging Federation looks forward to working together with SIG and more enterprises to promote the globalization of the packaging industry.

   Mr. Li Hua and his delegation visited factories of SIG in Linnich, Germany and investigated the production process of the Swiss cap plant.
